Zero Waste Forum 2026

Held in Istanbul from 5–7 June 2026, the Zero Waste Forum brought together policymakers, climate experts, business leaders, academics, and representatives of international organizations to discuss practical solutions for reducing waste and advancing sustainable development. Organized under the theme “Road to Antalya: Zero Waste as Climate Action,” the forum served as a key platform ahead of the COP31 Climate Summit, which Türkiye will host later this year in Antalya.
The event focused on topics including the circular economy, resource efficiency, food waste reduction, methane emissions, sustainable cities, and innovative waste management technologies. Participants explored how governments, businesses, and local communities can work together to promote responsible consumption and accelerate the transition toward a low-waste future.
As part of Istanbul Zero Waste Week, the forum was accompanied by exhibitions, workshops, and public events designed to raise environmental awareness and encourage sustainable lifestyles. Bringing together delegates from more than 150 countries, the gathering highlighted the growing international importance of zero-waste policies in addressing climate change and supporting global sustainability goals.
